HEALTH FACILITIES ASSESSMENT (HFA)
A Cornerstone of the HSTP

A cornerstone of the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP), the Health Facilities Assessment (HFA) is a comprehensive initiative designed to evaluate and map healthcare services across all 25 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 274 wards in Niger State. This assessment will generate critical data on the availability, distribution, and quality of healthcare services, serving as the foundation for strategic policy decisions aimed at strengthening the state’s health system.
Covering urban, peri-urban, and rural communities, the assessment ensures no area is left behind. It includes public, private, and faith-based health facilities to provide a complete picture of healthcare access. A wide range of services, including maternal and child health, infectious disease management, family planning, and emergency care, will be evaluated to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
By providing data-driven insights, the HFA will help shape policies and investments that enhance healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and quality for all residents of Niger State.
